YBIM Donated RM 50,000.00 for the construction of SK Saujana Impian Surau

At the PIBG General Meeting Session 2017-2018, the Proposal for the Construction of the SK Saujana Impian Surau was proposed by Mr. Jesvinder Singh and has been approved. The meeting also agreed to appoint Dato’ Sr. Rosli bin Atan as Chairman of the SKSI Surau Executive Committee.

Following that, Dato’ Sr. Rosli bin Atan has formed a group of technical volunteers and chaired several meetings until the proposed drawings of SKSI Surau and other facilities were published. Infinite thanks to Dato’ Sr. Rosli bin Atan for leading and inspiring us to realize the dream of building this SKSI Surau.

History of Technical Volunteers

Dato’ Sr. Rosli bin Atan has appointed Ir. Zaini bin Ibrahim as the Technical Chairman of the Surau SKSI Executive Committee to lead the line of consultant volunteers. The design process was started with Boundary Measurements by Sr. Chartered Surveyor. Nurul Hisham Bin Ismail. Thank you to him because even though he has no children who attend school at SKSI, he is still willing to offer his services for free.

Next, the Architect’s Drawings were made by Plan Painter Mr. Azharuddin Bin Basiruddin, He has several times submitted construction proposal drawings for the consideration of SKSI Surau Executive Committee Members. Thank you to him because even though he has no children who attend school at SKSI, he is still willing to offer his services for free.

The Engineering Drawings have been issued and confirmed by Ir. Zaini bin Ibrahim. For information, one of the main conditions for Construction Approval by the Selangor State Education Department is that the Drawings have the Seal of a Professional Engineer. Although his son has already finished schooling at SKSI, he is still willing to offer his services for free.

This SKSI Surau Proposed Plan drawing has again undergone changes with the addition of the PIBG Room and Utility Room. The architect’s drawing changes are being made by a father of SKSI students, Mr. Hazrin. He also offered his services for free.

Next, the new Architect’s drawings must be submitted to Ir. Zaini for engineering design changes. May Ir. Zaini bin Ibrahim is still willing to pour out his services for free.

Building Design Concepts & Cost Estimates

The design of the Building has taken into account the fact that a large and spacious Surau space is only needed when there is a large program such as Solat Hajat Perdana or some other programs only. So the concept of multipurpose space has been applied. Most of the time, part of the building will be used as a multi-purpose classroom. The wall separating the room can be opened as needed either to enlarge the Surau room or to become a closed hall. Hopefully with this method will be able to maximize the reward of all contributors.

The construction of this Surau will also have a large indoor ablution room for Muslim women. Other facilities available in this proposed building are Multi-Purpose Classroom, PTA Room, File Room, Utility Room, Male and Female Toilets.

The construction of this Surau is expected to be able to accommodate a total of 350 worshipers in the interior of the building and an additional 150 people in the foyer at a time when the partition is fully opened.

The building is a one-story structure with a roof beam height of 12.5 feet. Size

the entire construction of the building is 152 feet long x 28 feet wide which is equivalent to 4,256 square feet. Closed Ablution Room 28 feet long x 6 feet wide which is equivalent to 168 square feet. Ample legroom, equivalent to 980 square feet. Based on the construction price of RM100 per foot, the construction cost is estimated to reach RM491,400.00

God willing, the construction of the SKSI Surau building and other facilities will begin after obtaining approval from the Selangor State Education Department using the proceeds of donations from benefactors.
