Alhamdulillah, thankfully, YBIM volunteers had the opportunity to do post-flood cleaning in Sungai Lembing Town, Pahang which was affected by the flood. The flood that hit brought with it thick silt & mud which if not cleared immediately will cause bigger problems to arise.
YBIM volunteers coordinate and divide tasks so that the cleaning process is more effective. It’s hard to imagine living in post-flood conditions where slush and mud covered every available inch. The damp, slippery and unpleasant smelling conditions had to be faced by the flood victims, which to return to the original condition would definitely take a long time due to the constraints of money and the sweat of the people.
